old stone town
~

The first part of my trip was through the countryside near Sainte-Sabine. The houses in this area are generally more modern and smaller than those I saw further to the east…

smaller, one-story houses line the country road … notice the shadow of the Street View camera (image from Street View)

Arçais is an old town, with stone buildings and narrow streets…

I found another house to buy, a charming two-story with a tiny front yard and an old gate – it may need a new roof…

Hi Jane
I always thought that trying to see in people’s windows was considered peeping. And isn’t that a crime? Like I don’t know. Maybe it’s a normal thing to do. Just wondering though.
Nice drawing Jane. The yellow pops right out.

Hi. I am sorry, but still curious. The Street View folks were careful not to focus on the inside of houses. They also used facial deleting software to remove faces from people, dolls and even crockery pots with faces impressed in their design! Jane

Every time I see these charming little houses along your route I get a strong urge to knock on the doors and see what they are like inside!

Hi Barbara. I try to see in the windows, but I am too far away. I know many have lovely lace curtains on the windows. Jane

Those yellow flowers look stunning. I may have to bid against you for the house. Keep peddling!

Hi Gemma. I’m glad you like the drawing. Sorry, the house is mine. However, you may like to have the bills to fix the roof? Jane

Hi Carol. Adding color to the drawings is a bit of an experiment. The snow has stuck around so long this year, I guess I am eager for color! Jane
