at the bird feeder #2
We had snow during the night and I can see clearly who has been at the feeder this morning… so far, only a few chickadees and nuthatches, and , of course, the pesky grey squirrel.
Do you have a bird feeder and what birds do you see?

Such a cute little nuthatch. 🙂
We have a feeder (my husband made one from an old bicycle tire), but I’m not very good at identifying the birds except for the obvious (cardinals, bluejays, and the finches). The other day we had a small group of juncos joining the doves on the ground who were picking up the seeds that had fallen from the feeder. No squirrels, though. They hide in the woods at the back of the pond and we rarely get a glimpse of them. I saw a black squirrel out there recently.

Hi Robin. Lots of stuff can be made into bird feeders. I love the little juncos. They come right up to the window to get tidbits! Jane

Wish I had a bird feeder here in our condo complex. My dad has several of them and I’ve spent many happy hours sitting quietly with him, watching the antics of the birds and little red squirrels!

Hi Barbara. I hope you can enjoy mine through my posts. I have about 100 photos of our two red squirrels. They are bad and steal the bird seed, but they are also adorable to watch. Jane
