a moment of beautiful – traffic lights
the space: above the roadway, at an intersection, in the fog
the beautiful: green, yellow and red traffic lights, seeming to hover, like jewels in the fog

Traffic lights!!! Beautiful??? Perhaps you will never agree. But I think those lights, when seen on a foggy day, suspended as if from the sky itself, are as beautiful as jewels. Emerald, topaz and ruby.

Yes i do agree – though i don’t think I would say so about all traffic lights per se. These ones have a delicacy which gives them a certain charm. A!so you have to be credited with what you saw & photographed in a certain way which now reveals itself to others.

Jane,,,do you normally carry your camera every where you go.? Ha.! Am I missing something.? where is your poem.? And sketches.? My pc might be acting up,,I am not sure.

Hi. Yes, I am always on the lookout for something to blog about so the camera goes everywhere! I don’t do a drawing or poem with all my posts and this was one of those. I do think those traffic lights hanging in fog merit a poem! Jane

Lovely ethereal feel to the fog photos. I love fog in all its magic,changes and distortions of reality. Of course, the lights shining through the haze are gorgeous jewels. I enjoyed this post.
