a glimpse of dragon
Loved your poem, Jane, and as your posts and pictures often do, it inspired me to add a few lines. I thought I’d share—with my thanks.
First ephemeral snow
snowflakes
absorbed by wet pavement
as though
they never existed at all
and yet . . .
as they drifted silently
into our world
they spoke to us
of peace and
gentle beauty
reminding us
that all life,
however brief,
has purpose.
