my new garden fountain!
Enticed by a Facebook advertisement, I purchased a small, solar-powered water fountain for my deck garden. It floats in a bowl (although it could also be put in a birdbath or larger pond) and uses the sun’s energy to send water into the air. If the sunlight is direct and non-stop, the spray is forceful and continuous. On our deck, where the light is dappled by all the leafy trees, the flow is sporadic but fascinating to watch in all its variety.

Lots of fun and realizes my dream of having a simple fountain to enjoy! I purchased the fountain at Next Deal Shop here for about $50 including shipping but I notice they have sales from time to time.

Enjoying summer! Hope you are too!

Yeah. Thanks, Jane. Because of this post of yours, I went and ordered one of these ratchin-scratchin water fountains. My updates tell me it’s coming from Zhen-Zhen Wherever – so I’ll probably see it in 2064. I’ll wait another month. If I don’t got it (I know. Don’t bother correctin’ me) by September, you’d better be taking yours in at night.
And may all your cukes die on the vine.
your best friend ever,
Neil

Mine is rigged with an evil cucumber tendril that winds itself around the perpetrator and takes him to Meniscus. You’ll be 110 in 2064 and easy to catch!

It was great taking to you yesterday, incidentally. A very nice afternoon meeting.

Good to hear your stories of the writing residency. I am so glad you completed the book; lots of vivid, image-rich poetry!

I was very different from my other writing; such a concentrated time period and an immersion in a beautiful area where images just kept rising to the surface.
