I have been blogging since 2011 and I am delighted to see that I will have my 500th follower sometime during the next days/weeks.

To commemorate this milestone, I am running a contest.
Everyone who enters a comment on a post here at http://www.nichepoetryandprose.wordpress.com from now until I have my 500th follower will be entered in a draw to win a signed paperback copy of my new book “in the shelter of the covered bridge” (Chapel Street Editions), postage paid.

I love covered bridges and your writings put me right in the middle of whatever you write about. Whether it is covered bridges, in the middle of a field of flowers, along side a stream, there is always so much detail and I find it very peaceful.

Great picture of you, Jane. I used to live very near the Rusagonis covered bridge, actually between that bridge and the old one that was taken down and I think is still reassembled somewhere in the Covered Bridge Valley Estates. That’s where we had our farm that I’ve blogged about, near the SW corner of the Wilsey/Wassis intersection. I’m not sure if either of the two big barns are left or not. I’ll look forward to the release of your book.
