flowers and fences
The beginning of Phase 4 ! My exercise scheme of virtual biking is paying off. After going 385 minutes (67.8 km) on my stationary bike in Phases 1, 2 and 3, I have lost weight, I feel stronger and I have more walking stamina. I am looking forward to my progress in Phase 4. I am also going to try to make my trip more interesting for you, my reader.

I think this is my favorite leg of the journey so far. I love the fence and the tree plantation. Congratulations on the improvements in your health! 🙂

Hi Robin. I hope I am getting better at reporting my journey. Thanks for following along. I know you have an incentive for exercise as well (saving for a reward item). Every little bit helps! Jane

Hi. I thought the graphic would be a good way of repeating explanatory information. I think the hay fence is also available in Canada. They use something similar here as a way of crossing wet areas during construction, to prevent soil disturbance and erosion. Jane

The hay fence is very interesting – I wonder if it is less expensive to make one than to buy a ready-made fence. To see some blue flowers would be such a treat right now!

Hi. I have certainly seen some elaborate fences and walls along the way, made of stone, brick, wood and metal. This is the simplest fence of all. I agree that flowers would be most welcome. Our snow is going quickly, but the plants are still covered. Jane
