snowfall and summer
~
envy
~
in the hammock
the snow rocks
gently, enthralled by
whispers
of fireflies
owl calls
~
wind harasses
the pines
mutters them miserable
snow fall ceases
stars punctuate
indigo sky
~
snow dwindles
shrinks and sublimates
the hammock cradles
a frail cadaver, swings
in obedience to
winter storm

wow that’s lovely. Both the poem and the photo! Do you always leave the hammock out in the winter?

Hi. No, we usually bring it in. The season just overtook me this year. Oh well. At least the snow can pretend it’s summer! Jane
